talomin books statement on privacy
talomin books is committed to maintaining goodwill and trust with all users of our website. Please familiarise yourself with how we handle your personal details.
How we use your personal information
The personal information you provide us is used to process your purchase and account for it as required by Australian Corporations law. If you have indicated on our site that you would like to receive notices from talomin books, your e-mail address will be added to the appropriate mailing list. If we contact you, we will always give you the opportunity to remove your name from our mailing list.
Disclosure of personal information to third parties
In the course of processing your purchase, one or two other parties will receive some of your details; these parties are the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, to process your payment, and Australia Post who will deliver your book order. Both of these parties are obligated not to use your personal information for any other purpose. We will not disclose your personal information to any other party unless we are required to by law, or if an unlawful act is commited on this website.
From time to time we contact our previous customers when we believe they may find our new products or services to be of interest. Any e-mail message you receive from us will clearly identify the person sending it, and always contain an unsubscribe facility in the event that you do not wish to be contacted again.
Our position on Spam
talomin books does not send spam. If you have received spam from a "@talominbooks.com" address, that message is a fake. You will be able to confirm it's a fake by right-clicking the properties icon on the email message which should reveal a sender with temporary email account that was set up specifically for the purpose of spam.
Unfortunately, it's now common to receive messages from fake senders. When you receive spam, it's best to delete the message from your 'inbox' and 'deleted items' immediately, as the message may contain a virus, malicious code or it may be intended for phishing- obtaining your personal details by deception.
If you have any specific questions or concerns, please contact us via our contact form.
