psychology books: tips on purchasing our trauma titles.
Please note that Leah's trauma texts are designed to work together, so you may wish to buy 2-3 depending upon your client group. In the four tips below, refer to the colors of their covers to help you decide the texts that would suit you best.
1. If you mainly work with adult trauma, you may wish to buy
all 3 of the following: the red, orange and purple texts, especially if your
clients include survivors of abuse/neglect. If your clients do not include
survivors of abuse, you would only buy the red and orange texts.
2.
If you mainly work with adolescents who have been exposed to abuse and neglect,
you would buy the blue, red and purple texts. If your clients do not
include survivors of abuse, you would only buy the red and blue texts.
3. If you mainly work
with clients immediately following trauma (acute stress disorder) you would buy
the red and green texts.
4. Some people choose
to buy the red text alone but please note that it's NOT a stand-alone book. It
contains handouts for clients and answers to questions posed in the orange,
blue, green and purple texts, as well as monitoring forms for clinicians.
5. The dark blue book (culture and trauma) can be purchased as a standalone text, or with any of the other trauma texts (purple, orange, light blue, green).
Please note that
prices indicated below are in Australian Dollars. If you pay by bank transfer,
